As a rural student after receiving the Eva and Emery Balint Award a new world of opportunity opened up for Steve. This award allowed him to attend UNSW and follow his dream of constructing a sustainable building in the future.

Mary Kranitis, founder of the Juvenile Uveitis Research Fund
On a daily basis Mary’s young son George struggles with juvenile arthritis. Her son’s pain led Mary to establish a research fund at the UNSW Faculty of Medicine to help improve her son’s quality of life and ultimately find a cure.
